On the afternoon of April 10, 2024, the Spring 2024 scholarship awarding ceremony of the Lotte Foundation Scholarship Fund (Lotte Group, Korea) was held at Lotte Hotel - Lotte Center Building, Hanoi.

This is one of the annual community activities - symbolizing the good friendship between Korea and Vietnam and expressing the desire to nurture young talents and contribute to the cause. Focus on community activities and the social responsibility of Lotte Group. Hopefully, this will be the motivation to help them overcome difficulties, pursue their passion, and realize their ambitions.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Choi Young Sam - Korean Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam, Ms. Chang Hae Sun - President of Lotte Scholarship Foundation in Korea; Mr. Lee Seoung Hoon - Chairman of Lotte Welfare Fund and representatives of Lotte Companies in Vietnam sponsored the costs of organizing the scholarship award ceremony: Mr. Cho Chang Yong - General Director of Lotte Hotel Vietnam Co., Ltd.; Mr. Kim Joon Young - General Director of Lotte Properties Hanoi Co., Ltd. Mr. Seol Dong Min - General Director of Lotte Coralis Vietnam Co., Ltd. & Lotte Property & Development Vietnam; Mr. Lee Jae Jin - General Director of Lotte Shopping Plaza VN Co., Ltd. along with honored guests of the Organizing Committee and teachers representing universities in Hanoi.

Speaking at the scholarship awarding ceremony, Mr. Choi Young Sam - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Korea to Vietnam said: For the relationship between the two countries to develop as it is today, it is not only thanks to activities. Successful business operations of enterprises like Lotte Group include positive contributions to society such as this corporate scholarship fund.

Since its establishment in 1983, the Lotte Scholarship Foundation has always strived “For a warm and prosperous world where dreams and hopes are shared'; since 2008, the foundation has strived to nurture talent and has awarded many scholarships to Vietnamese students.

President Ho Chi Minh said: "For the benefit of ten years, grow trees, for the benefit of a hundred years, grow people." “Hopefully, in the future, the young generation will become excellent talents in various fields, serving Lotte's noble purposes and becoming strong pillars responsible for the future of Korea and Vietnam”, emphasized the Korean Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam.

The Spring 2024 Lotte Scholarship period honors and awards each scholarship worth 400 USD to 76 students with excellent academic achievements and efforts to overcome difficulties from 9 prestigious universities in Hanoi: University Hanoi National University (University of Foreign Languages, University of Economics, University of Social Sciences and Hanoi University). Humanities), Hanoi University, Foreign Trade University, Hanoi Polytechnic University, University of Civil Engineering, National Economics University, Academy of Finance, Thang Long University, and Hanoi Law University.

Lotte Group has attracted a lot of attention and implemented many community-oriented activities such as awarding scholarships to students in difficult circumstances and with excellent achievements at school; building libraries and schools for highland children, renovating play areas for social protection centers, raising charity funds, donating blood...
