In 1971, Rockport was born out of a simple idea – to make dress shoes more comfortable by leveraging the engineering and technology used in athletic sneakers. Drawing on generations of shoemaking experience, we were able to merge the comfort of athletic shoes with the smart, sophisticated look of dress and casual styles.
